Pordenone Silent Film Festival is one of the most important film events worldwide dedicated to the discovery and the study of early cinema. They are organized by the Cineteca del Friuli and take place in Pordenone, in the month of October, 1982. In the eight-day Festival, he is attended at the festival various film historians, specialized magazine correspondents and experts in restoration of silent films that arrive in Friuli various parts of the world. The international level of the Days has been recognized by the magazine Variety, which in September 2007 has included among the 50 most significant film festivals.
A peculiarity of the days of silent films, as well as the rarity of the films on offer, from film archives and private collections, is that the show films with live musical performances.
